Every time I sit back and look at this picture or any other squad pictures we have, I sit in awe of what the Lord put in front of me for this season. These people, this squad, they resemble Jesus in so many unique. The Lord has shown me time and time again throughout the race is how beautiful the body of Christ is. When we understand our unique qualities and attributes and we allow God to use each of us how he created us, we are more powerful together. The Bible talks about this concept in so many different places. For example:

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

“Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companions can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up.” 

Matthew 18:20

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them” 

 Ephesians 4:11-13

“And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors, and teachers, equipping the saints for the work of ministry to build up the body of Christ,”

Ephesians 4:16

“From him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by proper working of each individual part” 

1 Corinthians 12:12-13

“For just as the body is one and has many parts and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body—- so also is Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body —- whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—- and we were all given on Spirit to drink.”

 

Man, isn’t it so beautiful that God created us each so individually and that we all get to represent Christ in such a variety of ways! This past season has given me the opportunity to see Jesus in each person on the squad so uniquely!

 

Isabel shows Jesus through her bold leadership, yet ability to love with deep intentionality and gentleness! 

 

Gretchen loves like Jesus through her joy and intentionality! 

 

Jason is filled with so much wisdom and understanding that allows him to counsel others! 

 

Zach is a leader and fights for people to have a deep understanding of the Father! 

 

Colin walks in so much consistency and deep love of others!

 

Dawson walks in deep faith and trust of the Father! 

 

Kirby has such a joy and is always quick to pour truth over you! 

 

Caedmon seeks justice for the oppressed and has long term vision! 

 

Carter carries a steadfast spirit and a hunger for more!

 

Hayden carries the Lord’s creativity and heart to go unto the nations and share the gospel! 

 

Gus carries such a deep, yet gentle wisdom and love for using the talents God has given him! 

 

Grant has the passion and fire of the Lord’s heart to fight for the Kingdom! 

 

Caden carries the Father’s heart to know people and their hearts, as well as, walk in vulnerability!

 

Jordan carries the consistency and pursuit of the Father’s heart! 

 

Emily carries the passion of the Father’s heart for deeper wisdom and knowledge and walks along people with the same wisdom!

 

Amelia is a woman of deep love that comes out of a constant pursuit of the Father’s heart!

 

Amy carries the creative and passionate sides of the Father’s heart and never settles, but seeks more of the Lord! 

 

Abby Utsinger has the ability to be all things for all people and is always willing to try something new to love someone better.

 

Cassie carries both the gentleness and the fierceness of the Father and walks proclaiming the truth wherever she goes!

 

Abisha carries the gentle spirit of the Father and lights up any room with the Father’s joy! 

 

Kaili has an ability to love so deeply and unconditionally just like Jesus does! Her love has no boundaries!

 

Kayli is a powerhouse of love and is willing to meet people where they are at but never leaves them there!

 

Evelyn has the patience and endurance discussed in Hebrews 12:1-2 and doesn’t give up when times get hard!

 

Caroline has a heart to serve those around her and depends on the Lord’s strength when it gets hard and tiring!

 

Savannah represents the meekness and humbleness of the Father with a fire for pursuit for loving people deeply!

 

Harlie is slow to speak and quick to listen and walks in fearlessness of all the Lord has for her!

 

Grace H is full of passion for the Kingdom and has a fire for a deeper understanding of the Word that overflows to everyone around her! 

 

Delaney carries the Father’s heart of justice that is so beautifully balanced with the gentle heart of the Father when it comes to loving the people the Lord puts in front of her! 

 

Adalie holds such resilience and creates a safe space to meet anyone where they are at, but not leave them there!

 

Abby Clapp is quick to serve and allows the Lord to shine through her as she sits in the mess with people around her!

 

Grace Smith has the Lord’s passion and the gift of leadership and patience!

 

Mackenzie carries the confidence of the Lord and an ability to love despite cultural boundaries!

 

Libby carries the positivity and consistency in everything she does and is quick to be a listening ear!

 

Avery sees each person as unique and loves them for their uniqueness with deep intimacy just like the Father!

 

Ally is steadfast and full of the Father’s joy in every single thing that she does!

 

Lucy carries a deep heart of wisdom and insight from the Father and embraces the silly and fun side of God’s heart. 

 

 

What a blessing it has been to know and love each of you! This is just the beginning of the rest of our lives and I can’t wait to see all the many more ways you begin to love and look like Jesus in the seasons to come. Love you forever Gap I!
